This temple was established almost 400 years ago by the famous Tantric Bhavani Mishra. Kiran Shankar Prakash, the then priest, said that there is no legislation to establish the Kalash in this temple. Only the soul's status has been honored by the system itself. For tantric reasons, the Kalash is not established here. The devotee here demands recite by reading the Saptashati. It is said that the offerings of dried fruits are offered in this temple.



तंत्र साधना के लिए प्रसिद्ध बिहार के इकलौते राज राजेश्वरी त्रिपुर सुंदरी मंदिर में साधकों की हर मनोकामना पूरी होती है। देर रात तक साधक इस मंदिर में साधना में लीन रहते हैं। बताया जाता है कि मंदिर में साधकों की हर साधना पूरी होती है।

राज राजेश्वरी त्रिपुर सुंदरी मंदिर की सबसे अनोखी मान्यता यह है कि निस्तब्ध निशा में यहां स्थापित मूर्तियों से बोलने की आवाजें आती हैं। मध्य-रात्रि में जब लोग यहां से गुजरते हैं तो उन्हें आवाजें सुनाई पड़ती हैं। मंदिर के पुजारी किरण मिश्र ने इस बात की पुष्टि की है। नगर के कई लोगों ने भी रात में मंदिर से बुदबुदाने की आवाज सुनने की बात कही है। ऐसा लगता है मानो मूर्तियां आपस में बातें करती हैं।

डुमरांव इलाके में बने इस मंदिर से अनेक मान्यताएं और रहस्य जुड़े हैं। मंदिर में देवताओं के आपस में बात करने की भी आवाज लोगों को सुनाई पड़ती है

मंदिर में प्रधान देवी राज राजेश्वरी त्रिपुर सुंदरी के अलावा बंगलामुखी माता, तारा माता के साथ दत्तात्रेय भैरव, बटुक भैरव, अन्नपूर्णा भैरव, काल भैरव व मातंगी भैरव की प्रतिमा स्थापित की गई है। मंदिर में काली, त्रिपुर भैरवी, धुमावती, तारा, छिन्न मस्ता, षोडसी, मातंगड़ी, कमला, उग्र तारा, भुवनेश्वरी आदि दस महाविद्याओं की भी प्रतिमाएं हैं, जिस कारण तांत्रिकों की आस्था इस मंदिर के प्रति अटूट है।

प्रसिद्ध तांत्रिक भवानी मिश्र द्वारा लगभग 400 वर्ष पहले इस मंदिर की स्थापना की गई थी। तब से आजतक इस मंदिर में उन्हीं के परिवार के सदस्य पुजारी बनते रहे हैं। तत्कालीन पुजारी किरण शंकर प्रकाश ने बताया कि इस मंदिर में कलश स्थापना का विधान नहीं है। तंत्र साधना से ही यहा माता की प्राण प्रतिष्ठा की गई है। तांत्रिक कारणों से ही यहां कलश स्थापित नहीं होता है। भक्त यहां सप्तशती का पाठ कर मन्नत मांगते हैं। बताया जाता है कि इस मंदिर में सूखे मेवे का प्रसाद ही चढ़ाया जाता है।
