सेंसर बोर्ड की एतराज़गी के बाद सिप्पी को शोले का अंतिम सीन रीशूट करना पडा,क्युकि असली climax बहोत विभत्स था,

जी हाँ, शोले फिल्म का अंत रमेश सिप्पि ने  वैसा नही चाहा था जैसा कि आपने देखा,

असली कहानी मे, अपने परिवार की मौत का बदला लेने के लिये गब्बर सिंह को ठाकुर बलदेव सिंह ने मार दिया था,

पर 1975 मे जब ये फिल्म रिलिज होना थी, तब भारत मे आपातकाल के हालात थे,

तब CBFC या सेंसर बोर्ड ने इस फिल्म कि कहानी पर आपत्ति लेते हुये कहा कि ये अंत बहोत ज्यादा हिंसक है इसलिये ये देश के वर्तमान हालात के साथ नही दिखाये जाना चाहिये,

ऐसी कहानी लोगो मे बदले की भावना पैदा कर सकती है,

काफी बहस के बाद सिप्पि भी सेंसर बोर्ड से सहमत हो गये और आखिरि सीन को वापस शूट किया गया,





Sippy had to change the original climax of 'Sholay' at the insistence of the Censor Board, that deemed it too

Yes, the ending climax for sholay you remember was not what Ramesh Sippy wanted in his film,

In the original script, Gabbar Singh was supposed to be killed by Thakur Baldev Singh in avenge of his family,

But back in 1975 When this film was about to release, India was in the state of Emergancy,

So, the CBFC or censor board objected with the original ending

Censor board found out ending too violent, and not fit for the current state of nation,

"This ending could trigger revenge belief in public", said CBFC

After much argument Ramesh Sippy agreed to the censor board and had to re-shoot the ending climax scene,

"Sanjeev Kumar was in Russia for a film festival at the time, and I had to call him back, and we had to hunt



for a police officer who would come in the end and point out how Thakur himself being an ex-policemen, should



know better than to take the law into his own hands" Sippy Recalled
